Only the Honest Can Enter the Kingdom of Heaven – Reflection on Matthew 18:3

Today’s Gospel

And said, Truly I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 18:3

Reflection

We must become as little children based on the Lord Jesus’ demands, then we can enter the kingdom of heaven. So what does becoming as little children refer to? Do not lie or deceive God, put aside our attempts and desires while believing in God, be simple and open as little children, and be honest but wise, which is the likeness that a person loved by God should have. Only this kind of people can enter the kingdom of heaven. Just as God’s words say, “My kingdom requires those who are honest, not hypocritical, and not deceitful. Aren’t the sincere and honest people in the world unpopular? I am completely opposite as it. It is acceptable for the honest people to come to Me; I delight in this kind of person, I also need this kind of person. This is precisely My righteousness.” From God’s words we can see that God loves innocent and open people who have no pretensions, and speak whatever in their heart with God, and with brothers and sisters, and do not package themselves; while those deceitful people, nobody can know what they think and what they want to do, they are living by Satan’s life philosophy and cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
